On the right-hand side of my engine looking from the back to the front, I have oil leaking out of the joints between the engine and the turbo. I have not been able to really run the coach for months. But I have started, idled the engine and moved it short distances. Do I just need to run it 100 miles or do I have a problem?
I'm unable to run it any distance because I don't have current tags, because I don't have a current inspection, because I don't have clearance lights, because I'm trying to paint it outside and the weather has been bad for coastal North Carolina. Oh well, spring is coming!

Do you mean from the joints in the exhaust piping from the manifold to the turbo? That's just unburnt fuel condensing in the cold pipes and running out looking horrible. That's one reason you shouldn't idle the engine, they say... run it for a 100 miles and that will go away.

Yes, it is the joints between the manifold and turbo. Thanks, I was just hoping that was all that it was. Now just a few days of sunshine and above 50 degree weather to get the painting done.
