I'm ready to start the siding again..Had to start over after deciding to rise the roof,So now I'm wondering if i should use a different aluminum then bare 5052 sheeting ..Maybe the pre-painted sheets ??? and also fastener ?? rivets or i hear talk about some sort of tape they use for trailer sides??? ant thoughts.... :-\
P.S IF there any body work help out in so California ,I'm looking!! lol
1954 crown btw
I don't know what my siding is but I know it is some kind of plastic. I have no dents or ripples. If you did not tap on it you would never know it.
The "tape" generally used in big trailer builds is a sealant tape, not an adhesive. The relatively few trailers that are assembled with a bonding tape have a high failure rate. You have the support structure behind the siding so rivets will work best. The prepainted white trailer side panels are 0.050 and are 49" x 110"
