Any idea? Couches are all handmade looking for hinge types of some way of attaching legs that fold up
Fred I put draws under my couch. To make bed I pull draws all the way out(they have rollers /Casters on bottom) and have a plywood top that is hinged with a piano hinge and when folded up lays flat under couch cushion. Use cellular air mattress on folded out bottom. I've slept on in . Good bed. To put up fold top to it's position back under couch cushions and push draws in. forgot let air out of mattress and put in one draw.
Since I have a transit with large wheel wells, I wanted a sleeper/sofa that went over the wheel well. Since none is made, I made my own. Also wanted a 80"x60" queen which again is not made (most are of the double size). I built a base of 80"x30" then took another 80"x30" piece of plywood and had 5" foam and upholstery put on it. Then made 2 80"x15" rear bolsters that are connected by the vinyl backing. The bottom piece stays in place in a slot with angle iron. So I just lift up on the base, pull it out (the legs are built into it) and two cables keep the bottom from extending too far. Then unfold the back and put into place. I then have a queen bed that guests and myself have slept on. Good Luck, TomC
