looking in to where to put dryer hose . i want to vent down not out . space is tight hose would be coming out over the airbag ?
is that ok ? john
First of all is the hose going to weather the elements under the coach and if the coach settles down once the air bags deflate are they going to crush the vent hose ? Don't know what make of coach you have but I would check this out.
Don't forget the CRITTER Guard !!!! Nothing worst than a rattlesnake in bed with you! Well maybe but we won't go there. ;D ;D

hi the air bag wont crush the hose i was more woried about the hot air / steam blowing at / over / around the air bag area .
and yes i need to put some type of cover over the end of hose . what type of screen would work best ? was thinking of heavy
screen that has 1/4 holes . what do you think . my bus is a 57 crown with a frame swap .frame is 95 roadmaster from monaco.
thanks john
Screen is ok, but check it once in a while so it isn't clogged up with lint. Some lint still gets through the one on the washer/dryer.
john,
ours blows out the side and i have to clean it regularly. it wasn't made for doing that in our case. we have a regular plastic cover screwed to the side with a caulking material. Doing clothes regularly means i need to clean that sucker out about once every month to 6 weeks or the drying gets really slow.
i mention this so you know that lots of hot, moist air and lint comes out that tube. it may contribute to a rust issue? and it will coat whatever is below with lint. and you will need to be able to get to it easily to clean it. if it's not easy, you won't do it as often. Then Lidia will have to spend more time on laundry and less time with you.

I don't know about the Splendide unit, but in our house our dryer vents through the furnace room behind the laundry room and then outside. Total run of the hose is probably 10-12 feet. We clean the lint trap after every load through the dryer. If I keep the screen cover over the outside opening on the house, it still gets full of lint, and when it dries it is hard as a rock and you have to scrape it out. A few weeks ago, we had to get a new heating element in our dryer, and when he opened the thing up to replace it, there was 3" of lint across the entire bottom of the unit. It was so thick that it clogged the vacuum up, and we ended up having to take it out of there by hand.
So just because you have a lint trap doesn't mean there isn't lots of lint getting past there. It's probably a good idea to plan on cleaning it out every so often.

We have the ventless Splendide. While it washes well, it takes about 60-90 minutes to dry and extra water usage. When the clothes come out they are still damp-we just hang everything up around the insides and they are dry in about an hour. Not a big deal, but my next one will be a vent type Splendide. Good Luck, TomC
