I am glad no one has made comment on this thread up to now concerning this years SEBN rally at Palmetto Cove, Cleveland, SC. I have some additional information I wish to share and hope those busnuts planning to attend can contribute on this thread.
when you attend this rally, please wear your SEBN Identification Badge at all times and if you do not have any Identification you can wear we will have (ID stick on badges for you to wear). The main reason for this is so that those not knowing who you are can find you after looking at your (windshield Placard) who owns a particular bus. The reason for this is we want to encourage all attending this rally to bring bus items, hobby items, or anything you wish and can carry on your bus to participate in a week long flea market while at the bus rally. All sale items to be placed in front of each owners coach.
If you have made changes to your bus and have spare parts to sell or new stock items you changed your mind about using, bring them to sell. I encourage anyone coming to list some of the items you will bring to post them on this thread with your name so that perhaps those planning to come can shop ahead of time reading what items you will bring to sell. Also, maybe a special item you have may be what someone needs right now and can contact the owner through email and make a deal then and deliver at the rally. You may list prices if you list your items on this thread and this also may entice serious buyers to contact you before the rally to purchase a special deal they really need ahead of time. Listing the prices you want is not necessary but I know would interest me if I need something.
Anyone going to sell any items, please mark a price on your item that will be visible and questions about the price being asked will be answered without you having to be at your coach through the duration of the rally. Those being interested can take your name and look for you if you are not known personally by this time. This is only a suggestion, but a good way to make a spring cleaning of parts you do not need and can post on this thread that you have available for sale.
The Identification placard to place in your windshield can be downloaded and printed from the SEBN web site:
http://www.southeastbusnuts.org (http://www.southeastbusnuts.org)
This rally is coming fast as you can see, a few more days and January is all gone already. I just took down our Christmas tree a week ago!! Just kidding.
Try to set aside money for the rally fees which are minimal compared to others, also plan on attending the (optional Saturday evening Dinner / show) which I know you will enjoy. This is being specially planned for our SEBN rally so please try to plan to attend and not make the cost of this evening a factor preventing you from attending our April 2011 SEBN rally.
Thanks ahead of time for planning to attend this years SEBN bus rally and also for posting any items you are bringing for the SEBN flea market held daily at the rally.

So Gary,
How much water can I expect in the river. Are you bringing your kayak? Jack
Jack, you should change your screen name to "kayak Jack" has a nice ring to it.
was good to see you at Gary's last year.
Jack,
if we get rain like we did once during the summer, we got her licked Jack. I will bring the kayak and we will go again in April. Give the best to our Paula.
Charlie, hope you can come in April, I brag all the time about you and you would sure be an asset. Bring that great Dad of yours, he seems to really enjoy our rallies. Hope all is going well for you and your new grand baby too. Hell buddy, bring your family there. Email me when you can.
Garylee
Charley,
The Cove ain't the same when you're not there! You need to bee there.
Gary, you have done a great job organizing a fun, affordable ($35.00!!) rally, and I am certain that we will outdraw 2010's 50+ coaches. Can't wait for April, and to help you welcome the crowd!
Mike in GA
I guess theres not going to be a lot of items for sale at this rally since nobody has posted here unless the moderators stepped in and said no items for sale can be posted, which really is the forum rules now that I think about it.
But then again, hasn't it become the norm at most all rallies to have items for sale out in front of ones bus?
OMG, thank you , thank you
Thank you for pointing out to me that I may have crossed the line at requesting that everyone to list their items "For Sale" on this thread that is planning to attend the SEBN Rally in April at Palmetto Cove Campground, April 29 - May 1, 2011. I certainly wouldn't want anyone to think I am receiving special privileges against any bus bulletin board forum rules. I am so grateful, I certainly would not want to be kicked off the board for such an infraction.
My suggestion for all those with items they want to show off at the rally for viewing please plan to list what it will be that you will be bringing and can be photographed by interested bus nuts needing such merchandise for their own conversion project. There cannot be any prices posted for selling items but bringing them for viewing for all to admire I am sure is allowable and within the bb'd forum rules. Please list on this thread and bring all your collectables, hobbies items, bus parts & crafts to the Palmetto Cove Rally. Listing these items here to be photograhed at the Palmetto Cove Rally will make it easier to find if someone is looking for an item you have and you can lead them to where they may find it. There is nothing like helping out a bus nut brother / sister.
Please do not let trivial things deter you from posting on this thread things you may have for viewing and photographing at the rally.
It takes a lot of time to arrange a rally as those that have can tell you. If you have not volunteered to do so you can not appreciate the frustrations and anxiety you have trying to set up something that will be enjoyable to all for a few great days. Do not let anything intimidate you from posting your viewable items here and surely not intimidate you from attending any rally you wish to attend just in a matter of weeks in fact. Life it too short not to plan to go visit with good friends, have laughs, swap things, photograph items of interest to you so you can search for them on the net etc.
We, (SEBN Club) look forward to those attending this rally in April. I am open to any and all suggestions you may have to make this even a better rally for all to enjoy if there is things I have not posted on the SEBN website -.http://www.southeastbusnuts.org (http://www.southeastbusnuts.org) If you do not wish to receive any public negativity about your suggestions please feel free to email me through my bb'd profile email address. I assure you it will be kept confidential.
I hope this new revised plan I now submit is within the posting boundaries of all bb'ds and not infringing on anyone's rights.
I look forward to emails, and items for viewing on this thread, photos would help in case someone does not have a camera to take photos of your items. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for pointing this out to me once again.
Thanks everyone, do not give up your power for any reason!!
Garylee
Gary I read your post and read a little sarcasm at the beginning. I wasn't trying to belittle you in any way for your idea/s. I REALLY WAS trying to see what would be there for sale as I'm always looking for a deal. Then I thought maybe people weren't posting due to the forum rules.
I don't know anymore, I give up!
Rally sounds like a great deal of fun! And bringing things to sell I would think would make it even more fun for us busnuts. ;D ;D ;D
When I used to attend the astronomy events which included telescopes, sky viewing, etc., it was always HUGE for me as to what items (eyepieces, scopes, books, etc.) would be sold by the various vendors and individuals. This really added to the excitement. Anticipation == 1/2 the fun.
No problem from the board with our good bus folk describing what they are going to bring - maybe we can build momentum for bigger & bigger rallys, with fun stuff to buy. Just keep w/in spirit of the board and we have no problem. e.g., Phil Lyons selling 8 bus tires, $1,200 each, contact me at 333-555-1212 between 8a-5p may be pushing it a bit. Phil Lyons bringing bus tires (size etc.) Series 60 engine - 5,000 total miles, 5 years of busconversion mags, and more bus goodies to sell sounds fine.
We're not going to split hairs on the rally announcement. Let's have some fun out there!
Kind Regards fellow bussers!!
Phil
Thank You Phil for your support on my intentions for these rallies we work hard to arrange & attend. Anything to lure everyone to any rally to just enjoy themselves is a job well done & I will surely encourage as you sure did that for me Phil. I believe items to be sold or photographed are not being mentioned at this time as it may be early, posting early too was my intention. I wanted give you time to dig in them treasures of yours and let"em" go, then post here with photos if possible. This could be great for anyone looking for that special part to purchase or photograph etc.
If all items being sold or Photographed are not sold and you wish we may consider to have an auction of those parts or hobbies etc. if you do not want to load them back up again. Don't Wait a Auction to get a cheaper price though and take the chance lose a great deal of something you really want or need. Ladies, and men, bring all your crafts as well to sell or be photographed.
I promise and mean I promise to keep this thread alive until the time gets closer to you coming to good Ole Palmetto Cove in April.
Remember that all registrations for the April SEBN Bus Rally have to be received no later than (March 15, 2011) with complete funds to cover the rally and optional Dinner /Show if you plan to go. I won't let you forget, I promise that too. You can pay by Personal Check, Credit Card or Pay Pal at the address quoted on the SEBN website below, Go to:
http://www.southeastbusnuts.org/ (http://www.southeastbusnuts.org/)

I am still waiting on any suggestions in confidence from anyone with suggestions for a better rally or special thing to do, send them to my BCM PROFILE, plan to attend. Fuel is going nuts and I see very few of us being able to travel at $5 or more a gallon in the not so distant future. Thanks Washington, most dreams down the crapper. Remember on Election Day!!
Thanks Again Phil and all BCM moderators for allowing me and everyone in the future hosting rallies submit pland and ideas on this BCM Bulletin Board. This will surely encourage rally host to post important information for those Hosting & having rallies to make these special plans that only last a few darn ole days. I appreciate your support Phil and BCM moderators as I know everyone does.
Remember everyone also, !"DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR POWER"
