Anyone have any good tips for how to replace these interior rubber sash seals that hold the windows in?
I've got a handful of windows to pull out and replace, and it seems like there's got to be an easier way to get these seals in, figured someone at some point has had to do all 14 of them and must have some brilliant method that I haven't figured out yet.. :)
I have done several of them on the hockey team's 102D3.
Take the window right off the bus and work with it flat on a bench or a couple of saw horses. They just unhook at the hinge once open at a +- 45 degree angle. (Takes 2 people). Use lots of lubricant: silicone spray on the rubber and on the glass.

Interesting - I never realized that they were that easy to take off, hadn't actually investigated it yet.

That's a good idea, I'll try that.
I also figured out that it's *much* easier if you feed the seal in at an angle as you press it in, as opposed to trying to push it in when it's already flat against the sill.
I used cheap aerosol window cleaner as a lubricant .Also a cheap set of window glass tools from Harbor freight. Then when in use black silicon caulk between rubber and glass for lasting seal.
Best lube you can use is the tire soap from a auto parts like Napa cost is around 5 bucks and will not dry out
good luck
