Title: GM with New rebuilt CA
Post by: Dave5Cs on January 18, 2011, 08:38:45 PM
I was at Valley in Sacramento,CA today getting new 2-1/4" silicon coolant hose ouch $27.50 a foot???
Anyway out in the yard out back while talking to the chief mechanic I spot this older GM Bus don't know the model maybe an old transit. Not much storage under it. and a lovely plywood door.!! bumpers, windows, are still in it. Was finished and used for awhile.

I said whats that doing here. He said they did some work on it and the owner never came back. It has been there for at least a year. The bus is in pretty rough shape for looks. Old inside conversion. they do some pretty nice coaches and firetrucks, tour buses etc. He told me that they also rebuilt the tranny and the motor out of frame in the shop 6V-71. He told me he'd sell it for what he had in it. I asked what that would be and he said $5,500.00. He just want what e put into the mechanical. I thought maybe one of you GM guys might new a new good Motor and tranny auto and or parts.
