Title: 8V92 HEAD BOLTS

can somebody please tell me what the torque in ft lbs for a 8v92 head my book tells me a 100lbs then turn the bolt 90 degrees this sucks ,Sammy if you read this thanks for the part number i see why you call it peanut butter

My 1980 vintage book has 250-260 lb-ft or 339-352 Nm

thanks Dallas i did it at 250 lbs and the bolt was at 90 degrees from where it was at a 100 lbs thanks again

The 90 deg after reaching 100 lbs torque isn't a "sucky" term,  Manufacturers give a torque figure in order to impose a certain amount of stretch to the bolt in order to prevent loosening in service.

90 degrees, depending on the overall length of the bolt may have been the correct amount of stretch.
