Title: Looking for Bus Nut in Modesto, Calif.
Post by: waynemcd on January 11, 2011, 10:21:33 PM
Live here in Alaska and not many buses to choose from so have been looking in the states.  Found a possible candidate in Modesto, Calif., a MCI 102a3 and was wondering if there were any Bus Nuts in the area that would be willing to do some inspection for me.  Willing to pay for your help.  You can email me at wayne@mtaonline.net.  If anyone is planning a trip to Alaska and I can be of help on this end, let me know.  Thanks

Hey Wayne
Seen you here, thought I'd pop in and say hi. Did you get my email for the invite out halibut fishing?
Also I was thinking about the 102a3 and I had a guy in Nevada inquiring about my bus and said he has a converted one for sale. I don't know the price or condition but if you might be into that, I can email him and get back to you. It is a 1987

Maybe someone here has one they want to sell that fits your needs.
Just a thought

Gary, that's a possibility that I would be open to.  It would appear there are not bus nuts in Modesto.  Anyone know of a good diesel mechanic in the area that could go by and take a look?  Any help would be deeply appreciated.  Thanks

IIRC RJ is about 100 miles south of Modesto. (been a long time since I was out in CA. so mileage is fuzzy)
He may know of someone.

Not too fuzzy, BK.  RJ is in Fresno, about 95 miles south of Modesto.
