Title: Found a source for Radiator Cores...
Post by: Hartley on September 06, 2006, 05:22:35 PM
I am sorry that this may sound like an advertisement, Honestly it isn't meant other than to let people know about a source.

I was referred to these people by a friend recently.
http://www.generalradiator.com/

Mike is the main guy there and already has some info on core sizes for the MC9's as I am ordering mine from them.

He will call you back to keep in touch too... Great Customer service !!

I like when a business will return your call and check to see that everything is going well.

Dave,
Thanks for the info.
What kind of costs are we looking at?
Do I have to ship him the radiators?
any info will be greatly apreciated.

They only make cores.
The deal I got for a pair included "no cost shipping" for my MC9

You have to change the side caps and tanks yourself. Probably takes longer
to remove all those bolts from the old tanks than it takes to actually remove
the radiators from the bus.

A 3/8" Air butterfly wrench is definately recommended.

I was getting prices exchange of around $1,000 each for radiators plus shipping and returning the old
sides and tanks.

Let's say for this instance less than $1,000 for a pair of cores delivered. ( maybe I was lucky?? )
