Title: Update on forum dinner at Arcadia (still happening)
Post by: belfert on December 28, 2010, 09:16:14 AM
I now have all the food on board for the forum dinner at Arcadia.  God willing I plan to be in Arcadia by noon Wednesday (tomorrow).

A reminder that the dinner will be held at 5:30 pm Wednesday evening at Bussin' 11.  My understanding is Jack will have me parked behind the main building.  If a few extra people show up who didn't RSVP we should have plenty of food I think.

I am need of a large pot or two, possibly a turkey burner, and one or two propane tanks.  BK was going to bring this stuff, but he wasn't able to join me due to bus issues with his business.

The largest pot I have is 5qt, you are welcome to it.

My tiny little 2-gallon LP tanks are probably no help.

I saw a turkey burner over at Ace's coach -- you might check with him on that.

I can lend my induction hob to the cause if it will help.

By large I mean like 16 quart or larger.  I'm not sure if I can get all the pasta in one large pot or not.  The bag of pasta says to use 6 gallons of water.  I cooked this same amount of pasta before with 3 gallons of water and it turned out fine.

Brian

A little trick is change the water before it done sometimes is you don't use enough water the pasta will be starchy draining and adding new water you can avoid that
