Title: Transmission Cooler, Tie Into?
Post by: jmblake on December 26, 2010, 05:57:42 PM
I wanted to get you guys opinion on to where to tie my cooler into the bus coolant lines at. First off I got a schell cooler off of Melbo that I was going to mount right under the drivers side radiator. Now my question is would it be ok to tie this into the tube coming off the bottom of the radiator and then back into the same line right at the bottom where it y's to go up into the water pump? The cooler has 1 1/4" hose fittings and I figured I could get 1 1/4" brass fittings brassed into that line coming down from that radiator. Thanks Jason

Why join them? if kept apart there is no chance of one system leaking into the other, or the heat of one affecting the other.
