papatony, you will get some good answers on length.  An often debated subject.

I always respond to these posts with caution about the vertical load on the hitch and the fact that bus structures were not designed to handle those loads.  This is particularity true on GM buses.  Won't rehash it here, but there are tons of  thread in the archives.

Well you'll probably want one around 28'-30' or longer. You'll wanta be able to get all the wheels of the bus up on the trailer and it is preferred to not have it hanging way out off either end. You'll also want a truck big enough to pull it and proper brakes for stopping it!

BK you are killing me ;D

Tony, the question would be better asked this way

How much weight can a GM tow???

answer- not much safely, without breaking the engine cradle or doing major damage to the roof witch is the frame.

I would not tow anything with a tongue weight over 300 or 400 pounds Max

so you can see that the length of the trailer is not really important.

Chris

ps do a search on the forum and you can read up on this topic

I'm curious. I have a 4106 and have towed a trailer many miles over the years with no ill effects. And I don't recall reading where anyone has had the type of failure warned about. Are there specific examples of this?

Thanks

Fred, I may have the name wrong but if I recall it was Ruthi and her 4107 that posted here about frame failure while towing to or from the arcadia bus rally a couple of years ago. it was a good post
