Title: Maiden Voyage
Post by: ruthi on December 24, 2010, 08:25:18 PM
We took the new bus out for a small run today with kids and grands. It ran like a top. It rides sooooo smooth. We took a bunch of pictures today, family and of course the bus. Here is the newest member of the family,  ::)

Thanks Andy and Cliff. It was a good day. Feels so good to have a shiny new ride. It just glides over the bumps, hmmm, so that is the way an Eagle rides?  ;D Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Congrats, Ruthie! How about a picture of the back end of your bus to see your exhaust system?

Sun?  Is that something they only have in Georgia?

I look forward to seeing your bus again in Florida.  It has been over a year since I saw it as basically an empty shell.

Ruthi,

Wish I could make it to Arcadia just to see your bus. You guys have done a heck of job in such a short time.

I've got half a mind to jump on Brian's Dina when he and BK pass through Atlanta.

Bob

Ruthi and Ken,

You guys did an awesome job on your coach. I remember it when it was a shell and a dream. As I said in the beginning, "It will turn heads".  Are you guys still heating it with a light bulb? I remember the night I was standing inside the coach, all of the windows were out and the front door was wide open and it was unbelievably comfortable inside and the only source  of heat was the drop lights that Ken had turned on so I could see the interior framing and the ceramic coating(seeing and feeling are believing!). You have come a long way baby. The short amount of time that you and Ken turned this project with undaunted craftsmanship and originality is totally amazing. I have always felt that a coach that is converted by its owner is a reflection of the people that own it. In your case you guys are beautiful people and top notch in every way and this coach reflects just that. I hope that you will have many happy miles and fond memories in your new home. You guys have earned that . Wish I could be in Arcadia when she makes her debut.

                        Your friend in SC,
                                      Rusty

Thank you so much Rusty, you are so kind. You were our first bus nut friend, and you are one of a kind. Hope to be friends for many yrs. Hey, we have extra bunks, come along! Ha, no, we have our heat pumps installed along with floor heat, so it is all good. Thank you for all the compliments. We are pretty proud of how it turned out. I am sure it isnt the best one out there, but, it is ours and totally done by us, so that makes it special to us. Your friends just south of ya in Ga. Ruthi and Ken

Ruthi,

We'd make quite a crew, if we both took you up on your offer. I've got too much on my calendar to go, much as I'd like to.

Thanks for the kind offer. You guys have a fun and safe trip.

Bob

Maiden Voyage?  Isn't that a "nautical term?"  Your first trip looks swell, why don't you get in touch with Mike and have them (BCM) do a cover shot of it and an article?

Just thinking outside the box.
