Found this on US 287 in Chilicothe TX. It was just sitting on the side of the road.
David that guy in Chilicothe does Eagles wonder what happen on that looks like he was going to install a 60 series as he does on most
good luck
What's wrong with it? ??? does it need rust? ;D ;D ;D Love my stainless steel
Eagle rust is like fine wine!! You don't just throw it in there. It must age slowly!!LOL (Before the eagles flog me, I am an Eagle owner!!)

My Eagle has some rust, won't lie about it, but it is no big deal. I got one kid who is left handed, which strikes me funny even to this day, but I still love him.

Eagle and Rust! ;)
I've got some too, the bus that is! ::)
It just adds character! ;D

I maybe crazy but if I had a building to get one in I would like to do one from the start(Eagle only). Just like the one here.
Yea I know too many out there that are nice and cheap but not my way! I don't think the bod has it left.
Someone needs to start one near me so I can stay Busy.

That from scratch think sounds good Ed, untill you look one day and your former driveable bus is a skeleton!! Makes for a challange thoughh!!
P.S. Don, God make only a few perfect people, then he made the rest right handed!LOL
Hard part done on that bus Ed it is back on it feet, nothing like watching a Eagle come from the shop floor into a rolling bus headed for Mike Wilson to become a beautiful bus
good luck

That would be me, right handed, and my perfect weight, if I were just seven feet tall.

Remember "We" are the only ones in our Right minds.
Did anyone notice something funny about these pics of this bus? The front floor has no driver area that sunk in and it appears no steps are cut in anymore. Being an X Auto Rebuilder and restoration tech of 15 yrs I have to say thats the way to start a new conversion though. At least you can make improvements for an iron clad bus. Love to have a place to build one like that on my own floor plan. We are full timers with no house without wheels so that won't happen. David, did they mention how much they wanted for this?
Nick, fwiw they call those hi drivers the level floor was a option for Eagle shells from the factory, lot of people raise the front floor and do middle entry doors or spiral stairs on Eagles when converting to mh nice feature really not that much to it on a Eagle
good luck
Hey guys,
Merry Christmas by the way, I hope those going to Arcadia are now there safely and I am sure the weather will change to be a great rally. This is just a freaky weather pattern we got for a few days.
Anyhow, I hope I am in line here but I know a friend in Spokane, WA that has a (1981 Eagle, model 10, 8V92 /Allison 740 tranny) that has been stripped, roof raised and partially reassembled with new skins. Dave has been wanting to sell his Eagle with lots of extra's to someone who wants to start out with a frame that is rust free and be able to arrange their Eagle any way they wish and not have to rebuld the frame to begin with. Now I am just making you aware of this Eagle that is for sale for a friend, I do not know all the particulars of it, the cost etc. I am sure the price would be right for a newbie to have a real Eagle Bird, Rust Free to complete as he or she wishes. The only thing is that it is located in Spokane, WA, unless you live near there then this would be a great deal, I promise.
If you are interested look up (Dave Brawdy) in the members profile list for contact information. I assure you Dave is a great guy and will do all he can to accomidate you getting an Eagle or your first Eagle if that is what you love to own.
If this post is considered not to be ledgit in this section, then moderators please either delete or place in the for sale section. Again, my intent is to support our busnut family in a friendly way.
Hope to see many of you at Arcadia, Thursday, the 30th.

Darren Bruner called me one day, as he was looking at this bus.
He said the guy has a truck that goes with it, with a Series 60
in it. I think he said he has the siding and everything also.
I will call Darren and try to get him to post more information.

Sonnie is right......I looked at this Eagle project and spoke with the owner, Boyd Green, approx 2 months ago. It is sitting off Hwy 287 in Chilicothe, TX just like David said.
Boyd told me the "project package" includes the 1988 40' Model 15, a wrecked semi tractor with a Series 60 and auto trans, new R&M front & rear caps, custom bay doors, an extra Allsion 740 auto trans and other numerous conversion parts.......all bundled together Boyd is asking $10,000.
The Eagle currently has no engine, trans, radiators, fuel tank, siding, windows, dash, electrical, etc. Boyd told me all rusted steel has been replaced, the engine compartment modified to accept the Series 60 including raising the floor above the engine, drivers area raised, front entry door removed and a side mid-entry doorframe & steps fabricated in front bay area. Boyd said a roof raise was next on his list followed with the addition of the Series 60 & Allison trans, but he gave up on the project and is ready to pass it on to another busnut.
Boyd also has another late 1980's Model 15 bus available for parts. It doesn't have an engine or trans, but still has the siding, doors, glass, etc. I believe he was aking $1,000 for the parts bus.
Boyd's phone # is 940-839-8408. He is a very nice man and was a lot of fun to talk buses with. :)
A few pics..........
More pics.......... ;D

I wish I had the money and a place to buy and rebuild this. It looks like a great start up project. Put a couple of slides in, one in the bed room and one on drivers side front along with a slide out patio on the passenger side,. ::). Sand blast all of this frame and add reinforcements and then zinc and paint. Would be a great project.
