Gus -

To add to what Clifford said, PD4107-152 was delivered new in March of 1966 as fleet number V-803 to Vermont Transit, based out of Burlington, VT.

And, while I was poking thru the book:

PD4104-1274 was delivered new in July of 1954 as fleet number T-2927 to Tamiami Trail Tours, based out of Tampa, FL.  IIRC, Tamiami was a Trailways affiliate.

FWIW & HTH. . .

;)

Thanks guys, this a surprise to find out it wasn't a Greyhound or Trailways bus!

What are the chances?

Best I can tell from dates written on the enclosed appliance books it was converted in '87.

Who is John Woods?

Gus, John owned the bus first he still had the bus in 2000 or 2001 the last time I saw him haven't seen him on any of the boards since 2001 or heard anything about him.I have no idea if Christy and Larry bought it from him or someone else

good luck

RJ;

I find the history on these Buses fascinating. I have looked ours up but only find between this and that number. Maybe because it was one of the 5C Saudi 35 footer.

The number above the door you can still see was #950 faint but there. Nothing in the blacked out destination box. It did have the 2nd Back R- side doors, has since been taken out and fixed. Know it has the 6V-71 some say I should have the 740 HT others say 654 because of the length?

Just wondering when it came back to US, Canada, Etc., where would have come back too and used for what. We think it was converted the 1st time in 1989. Where can I look other than the Angel site for info or do you know anything about it.

MCI Challenger Model-MC 5C (We know Saudi because of the roof and inside where the back door was) Sept 1979  Serial # S14027  Unit #7525    Trim code AA
The Plate says manufactured by, Motor Coach INDUSTRIES, INC. Pembina, North Dakota U.S.A.
This Plate Affixed by Motor Coach IND. LTD.,WINNIPEG, CANADA

Any Info appreciated

Dave

Clifford,

I think Christy and Larry got it in '04 or '05. I didn't ask who they bought it from.

Still, who is John Woods? I googled the name but came up with a bunch of possibilities, one was a Realtor in FL where they bought the bus.
