Congratulations!  Nice to get the DZ license sorted and be on your way.  Beautiful country around Rideau Ferry, I grew up in Ottawa and used to ride my motorcycle all around there, I probably drove through there.  Real confidence booster taking a long first trip like that, I spent about three months doing day trips before I went more than an hour or two from home!

Greg -

Welcome aboard!

The two older kids may roll their eyes now and then about the bus, but guaranteed, 5, 10 or 15 years from now, they'll have nothing but fond memories and funny stories to share.  Ask Barn Owl!

On another note, PD4107-1266 was delivered new in June of 1969 to Hefner Chevrolet, located in Ft Wayne, IN.  Since it went to this Chevy dealer rather than a commercial bus company, I'm guessing that it was converted to a motorhome right from the get-go.

Now, here's the most interesting tidbit of trivia:

You are now the proud owner of the LAST PD4107 built by GM.  After yours, the 4108s began rolling down the assembly line, with the first ones being delivered in May of  1970, almost a year after yours.  So you've got a piece of "bus history", so to speak.

Congratulations!

Enjoy your new toy, and hope to see you at the big rally in Arcadia, FL, next week!

FWIW & HTH. . .
