Title: Correct technique for setting injector height on Series 60
Post by: RichardEntrekin on December 14, 2010, 03:17:44 PM
I have a DD manual that specifies a procedure for using a pin type apparatus to set the injector height. The manual is dated around 1996. I have a technical bulletin from DD dated around 2006 that talks about tightening the injector down till it goes solid and then backing off 3/4 turn or 0.003 to set the height. I have simplified the explanations, but which technique is preferred?

Thanks Clifford, that bulletin also references the bottom out and back off approach. That's what I'll do.
I was referring to 04 TS-43Rev3 dated Jan 28, 2008
