Has anyone had experience with the air spring kit from MCI (Coach Products) that seals the air beams? What did you pay and what was your experience with installation? I am looking at both front and rear bags.
Thanks
Grant
I to am interested in doing this to my 9, The last I looked and that was a couple years ago the rear kit was around $850.00 and the front was in the $700.00 range, so I don't know what today's price's would be. If all you need is the rolling lobe bags that seams like allot of $ for 4 bags and some plastic tube, unless you are getting more parts with the kits than that? If you knew the part # of the bags you could probably get them at your local truck shop allot cheaper. Some of MCI parts are outrageous and some are right in line with others. Jason
I did all mine last winter and got the kits from http://www.mohawkmfg.com/. (http://www.mohawkmfg.com/.) No airlines but basically all you need other than elbow grease. I think both axles were around 15 or 16 hundred.

You will need 8 bags to do a complete change (2 bags per corner). I think from Mohawk fronts were around 160 and rears were around 180, but that was several years ago. We are very please with our Mohawk rolling lobe bags. We installed ours about 8 years ago. Jack

Grant you were talking about Block off plates too right? You can get them from Mohawk also as well as the rolling-Lobes. They just seal off the top off the bags and then you don't need the air beams. If the air beams are rusted through badly you want to weld them up good first. No we didn't do ours but have helped a few do them.

Mine is the rolling lobe style, just see where I could gets all four...thanks
There may be somewhere a project or possibly a video of this job being done. Just have to take a look around the net searching a bit.
May have been ask but why do you need these all the way around.
Holy Cow! Getting responses from a question from late 2010. You guys are quick ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Thanks, still not ready to tackle that job just yet. Need to finish the plumbing and then maybe the air beams.
