Title: Panel Meters (revisited)
Post by: Joe Camper on December 07, 2010, 06:33:26 AM
I recently metered up a bus and had a real education.  What would seem like very slight differences in style and design turn out to be a pretty big factor for availability of such. Often I am up against the clock or I decide I want to do something last miniute and I found that many sources do not have what I want in inventory.

Flush mount or window mount, analog or digital, 0 to 50 amp vs 0 to 100 amp calibration, back-lit or not, corrisponding transformers, dimensions, how far they are from the meter itself are just a few of the many conciderations.

In my learning process 1 fellow explained how you can reconfigure a meter transformer to make it compatible with what would otherwise be an incompatible meter. Here is the link.

Question: Is this something that would be an acceptable instalation should time and availability be a factor?

Joe, that link goes to your Gmail account; none of us has access.  Could you re-post with a more generic URL?
