All -
Today is Pearl Harbor Day.
Let's all take a moment to remember.
TIA
Exactly. I wasn't born until 1964 but we still have to take in account what a history changing day that was. Of course, 20 and 30 somethings all but think there were dinasaurs running around when that happened. The sad fact is that so many people nowadays roll their eyes when you recall what you were doing and how you felt on and the days after 9-11-01.
My Dad was there and he still has a hard time dealing with the pain sometimes. What a sad, sad day in our history! I'll always remember that day for as long as I live, and it should never be forgotten!
May God Bless the remaining surviors, as most are in their late 80's to early 90's.
not forgotten! not forgiven!
"... a day that will live in infamy." - President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Truer words have rarely been spoken. Yet even as tragic as it was, had it not happened, the U.S. would likely have waited much later to enter the war and it is very probable the Axis nations would have won and we wouldn't be here to discuss it. So the many souls lost that day did not die in vain, but rather in service to their country and posterity just as surely as the many more lost in the war that followed. May they always be remembered with honor and reverence.
"Remember what the day means to Mothers and Fathers, Sisters and Brothers, Wife's and Sweethearts. Remember always Pearl Harbor"
God Bless america.
AMEN, ALWAYS! ;)
I was not born back then, but am thankful to all those who fought to keep America and the world safe!
