I have had very good assistance from Rockwell Technical.   I have 2 numbers for them

888-725-9355
800-535-5560

These ratios are rough as my memory is old.   8V71s and 6V92s received approximately 3.83 axles while 8V92s got approximately 3.34 ratio.

I wish I could tell you. But I don't know and my MCI parts bus is 50 miles away. But if a pumpkin from a 102A3 will work I have one with 3.33 gears still in the housing and the axles to go with it!

One thing to be careful about when changing out used "pumpkins" from other models is the size & spline 3's off the axles! (don't ask me how I know this, but I will tell you it involves extra labor! We put a diff out of a 9 in a 102A3 once and the axles were to large and the ones out of the 9 were like 3" too short! Is yer bus a 96" or 102" wide?)

Now we are talking  :)

my bus is 102" wide  !!!!
i guess the 3.33 will be a little tall for a stock 6v92 with a ht 748 !!!

I don't see why. Ours is/was a 6V92 & ht 740.
If it will work for you I'd make you a deal on the pumpkin & axles and I'm sure we can find someone going West on I-40 to deliver it.

So far no luck with getting Axle numbers!!!!

Please note the Axle id , next time your bus is on a Pit for lube or brake service!!

thanks

looks like i have to look for a complete 102" axle to swap the whole unit!!
