Title: 102A3 Clearance Lights - Need Part Number
Post by: Doug1968 on November 26, 2010, 10:56:28 AM
Fellows,

A couple of years ago when stripping the bus I marked all of the parts and put them in boxes and plastic bags so that when it came time to reassemble I would have no problems.

Sounds good? Now I am ready to reinstall the roof clearance lights and I cannot find the box anywhere. Lori and I have torn the shop apart looking for the box of clearance light and we cannot find them.

My MCI manual, section 7, Electrical does not have a drawing. It just lists the electrical lights for the exterior and I cannot make sense of the list?

It looks like I will need to purchase new lights along with the rubber gasket, which I don't even see listed in the book. I'm not sure if the 102's used 12v or 24v for the clearance lights?

Does anyone have a part number for the red/orange lights? I have been to NAPA and they have no listing or cross reference for MCI.

Thanks,

Doug

If they turn out to be the same as MC-9, then BK has a cross-over part number to Setra LED lights what would be awesome.

Doug,
If no one gets you the # before I get down to the shop & back, I'll post it here for you!

Your bus is all 24V except the headlights and they start out 24 and split it between them.

If it were me I'd spend the extra $ and go LED now instead of paying about ($16+/-) each for stock lights you can get the 24V LEDs for $25 each from Setra North America 800-882-8054 tell them you need the 24V LED clearance lights for a 200 series coach! (for the difference in $ you'll be way ahead with better light, modern look and many many savings of having to buy and change bulbs regularly!

I started using the LEDs on my coaches 4 yrs ago and have yet to replace the 1st one!
The one coach we still have stock (incandescent) lights onhas to have 2-3 replaced per month and it's not even one of our main runners!
