Title: Cursor in the text box
Post by: happycamperbrat on November 23, 2010, 09:53:30 AM
When composing a longish post the words and cursor disappear. I thought I was the only one having this problem but now Ive seen others are having it too.... Can it be fixed?

It is an issue between IE and SMF (the forum software).  The easy way around it is to click the "Compatbility View" button on your browser (next to the address bar at the top of the window).  That fixes it.  Microsoft claims it is the result of outdated programming techniques in some website programs (like SMF).  On the other hand, afaik, it isn't a problem in Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari or Konqueror.  So it sounds to me more like a Microsoft problem than a SMF problem.
