Saying bye to our ol girl. New owner is flying in today. We have had her for 10 yrs. She has been a good one for all we have put her through. We lived in it for 2 yrs. It will be sad to see her go. But, glad she is going to a good home. Excited to get into the new one though. Almost seems like part of us leaving, lol. Weird, huh? New pictures coming soon, getting really close! ;D
I know the new owner & you couldn't have picked a better steward for your ol girl. The new owners are so excited to begin this new adventure and nervous about the learning curve ahead.
From what they've said about you two - Y'all rock! You two are awesome & are setting the bar high for the rest of us to meet. You all will be friends for a long time!
Enjoy the visit & new friendships! ;D 8)
You'll have to change your avatar now! ;)
It's always said to see a member of the family move on, but it sounds like the new owners will treat it as you have. Are they going to join our little group?

He already is, but I think he wants to develop a better understanding of his new addition before he advertises it.
Yes, he is, I didnt want to announce his purchase, as he may not want to do anything right now. Met him a little while ago, he and hubby are out for a spin, lol. I am cooking a big pan of food for us tonight. Seems to be a really nice guy. I am sure he is overwhelmed right now. Yes, I will change the avatar, ;D
Awe Ruthi... I'd like to see you both post with the same avatar ;D
New owner checked in with his progress report at 13:30 hours.
He is at a Flying J in Birmingham,ALabama and is getting ready to head west towards Memphis,TN on Highway 78.
Every thing is going well according to him. :)
I told him to keep me posted on his progress and he stated that he would do so. ;D

Yep, we have kept up with him. He wants to remain anonymous for now though.
We both stood outside and watched as our ol girl drove off. I think Ken had the hardest time saying bye, lol. It was sad for us both, but time to move on. She was a member of the family, strange as that may seem. ::) She is going straight into a shop for a little makeup, lol. We are excited to see her get a makeover from the new owner. Now, to work on that avatar, if I can remember how to do it.
Checked in with the new owner just now and he is taking a lunch break at truck stop located in Little Rock,AR every thing is going well. :)

Talked to the new owner just now at 16:40 and he is now 2 miles from his home.
He will be busy showing off his new toy to kin folks I bet! ;D
jlv ;D
Awesome!
He called me early this morning.
I asked him to speak more clearly, but he said he was grinning too big to speak any better. ;D
He also said it drove lots easier than he imagined - & admitted to "over thinking it a bit."
Ruthi, y'all couldn't have picked a finer new home for all your efforts.
Well, just to let you all know. I had a wonderful trip back from Georgia this past weekend driving our new bus. I wanted to Thank Ken and Ruth for their great hospitality that they extended to an old Oklahoma boy. You two are such a great bus'n couple. My family is so excited about the future in our new bus together. Our 5 year old could not wait to go for a ride. She has watched me on the computer always reading and looking at buses and wanted to know where ours was, now this little girl is so happy to finely get to ride in a bus that's not painted yellow with green bench seats. Just a note to my scenic brethren, I am not giving up on the other two buses that I own. PD-4501 #372 & #997. It seems with less than 20 or so seated Scenicruisers left in this world, that there was no way I could consider turning one of them into a conversion. I still love the Scenic's but this purchase of a conversion was made for the family to enjoy on trips together.
You made a wise choice. You can't replace the memories you all will have with one her age. I have one 18 and now one that just turned 6. They are both big bus fans and ready to go to the store in it if that's all we have to do. Congrats and have fun.
I am so glad it went well for you Aaron. We are tickled pink that someone got her that is that excited about her. I hope yall make as many memories with her as we did. It is refreshing to meet someone so honest and up front about everything. Take care.
Aaron, as soon as I can figure out how to change my avatar, I will. I know you dont want your bus on ours anymore, lol. I tried to do it already, but it didnt work. ???
Looks like you got it figured out Ruthi. I did the same as well. Aaron
Hi Aaron, Looking good there fellow bus nut! It's good to see a smile on your face with your new toy!
