Hey Guys my Niece is moving to Newport Oregon , and Iam trying to find her a nice park to rent a space for a few months until they can find a place to buy . Anybody live or know much about a park out there . Thanks Andy
I was just there earlier this week - here's a link to use:

The state parks were nice, but I think there is a 14 day limit and then you have to leave for 3 days. There's also a lot of trees, so satellite is long shot. The Port of Newport is nice, but it's just a large parking lot, close to the water, but on the opposite (industrial) side of the harbor. Harbor Village is close to the water and within walking distance to the restaurants, bars, and marina (opposite side from Port of Newport), but only has 30 amp. Bridgeview doesn't exist anymore that I could find.
I stayed outside about ten miles south of town at this place:

It was OK, dirt/grass sites, walk across highway 101 to the beach, but, you can walk across the highway - so it can be noisy depending on your tolerance level. They do have 50 amp, will take monthly rentals, and they looked like they would have space. Daily rates were 20 or 25 per night, so it's affordable compared to others in the area. Its a fringe area for Verizon air card coverage - very slow.
Hope this helps - Steve
Thanks Steve , I will pass them on .
Andy, if she doesn't like the dark and dreary days she needs to move more inland the OR coast is not very nice in the winter time
good luck
