Iam about finished with all my little projects on the Eagle , List is to long to explain lol So Iam checking a few things and I look at my fan belts and discover more than a few cracks in both of them . I have the replacements. I have never had to change them so Iam kind of clueless . I have the set up like on a "Prvost with Miter box that runs off the damper with belts and runs my alt and Fan .
Iam looking for any wisdom from the big Family . Thanks Andy
Say what cowboy,if yours has a mitre box driven by a Morse coupling off the front of the engine with a shaft over to pilliar block bearing you remove shaft loosen the adjuster install the belts tighten up the adjuster and you are good to go.
Prevost has a belt driven shaft with the 90 angle at the fan if you have that set up on your Eagle you are on your own buddy LOL
good luck
No Clifford I don't have the standard Eagle set up . I have three belts coming off the crank bully that go over to miter box style box at 90 degrees to the fan with three pullys two for the fan one for the Alternator , It;s in the same spot as your shaft driven Miter box just with belts . ;D
Why did I not know Terry would be different lol
good luck
