Title: Stainless Simulators: Where are all the good used sets???
Post by: Reddog on November 02, 2010, 05:18:25 AM
So as we all know, I have a tendency to accumulate busses. I have told Lee, my wife, that it is not a sickness, but rather I have decided to run a "Bus Rehabilitation Center" (a non-profit venture as far as she can tell). At any rate, I recently bought another Thomas, Little Thomas as he has come to be known:

I am trying to find a set of 22.5 simulators for this rig, and thought what with all the units (wrecked RV's and big rigs) that get retired read:wrecked) every year, used ones should be available. So far, I have not been able to find any.
Anyone got a lead on a good place, other than FleaBay, to try to find a set? They are 22.5, 2 hand hole, stud piloted wheels.
Thanks in advance, Doug@8000'

I bought it from a guy who bought it from a gal who bought it at an auction. It is a great bus. I asked him before I got it if it had any auxiliary braking, he said no. When I went to look at it, there on the dash was the controller for a Telma retarder...BONUS!!!

I could use a front pair as well, 24.5 for a 4106. Bus is in Coburg, OR and I am in Tucson, AZ now. Could pick up anywhere in between.

When we purchases our new to us Flexsteel captains chairs I noticed that Colaws just outside of Carthage, MO had several sets. Don't know the sizes as I wasn't looking for any.
