I must be the only person on the planet who doesn't know how to reduce the size of a photo so I can post it Any help would be appreciated.
Most any photo editing software will allow you to resize a photo. I prefer MGI Photosuite II, but whatever you play with your photos with, probably has a resize option.
Googles free Picasa program is ideal for this as well as a means of sorting your photos and putting them in albums.

Here is another for just re-sizing:

and another good one:

Most images I take are too high resolution to put on the web. Here is an image resizer that allows you to take an image, right click on it, and it will create an image that is low resolution. Ergo, smaller file size, one that can be attached to posts here.
The easiest way,
1-first download the plug-in from Microsoft....
click
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
and scroll down to image resizing, the link is on the right side of page, to get it and then install it...
2-in WindowsXP browse to the image file in Windows Explorer, right-click on it, and select "resize picture".
It will give you 4 size options and allow you to select a size,
normally small and Medium are good choices,
Maybe loading up this board with photos isn't such a good idea, but I like seeing other peoples projects. g
Thanks to ghanson for this tip.

What is is the ideal .jpg size to use for uploading into the user profile?
Thanks... Scott
Scott,
My avatar is 65x65 and I think that is about all the system allows.
Dale
Thanks Dale, I will give that size a try!

Resizing the picture to 65x65 worked perfectly and allowed me to upload it to the board without problems. In fact, once sent it appeared online immediately.
Good looking bus. Now go over to http://busphotos.busconversionstuff.com/photo/ and sign up for a free account where you can post a whole bunch of pictures!
