will the wheels from a prevost bus fit my mc-9?
Most prevost were stud pilot wheels you can tell by the taper where the lug nut tighten's to.your 9 should be stud piloted wheels. Both my prevost are stud piloted and most were 9 inch wide wheels will except 12r 22.5 or 315 80r 22.5 tires Bob
Both the MC-9 and the Prevosts could be ordered by the operator with either stud pilot or hub pilot wheels. Likewise, 8.25" and 9" are both common. You can not tell just from the make and model designation what wheels came on the coach -- you need to check.
So Pete, the answer is that some wheels from some Prevosts will fit your MC-9. You should figure out what wheels your coach needs first, so that you can ask the right questions about the Prevost you are looking at.
Also remember that changing from steel to aluminum may require different studs or special wheels, and for hub pilots may also mandate steel inners and dielectric separators.

Those I doubt will fit a MCI 9 because MCI has a different outset and inset than a Prevost and those are 9 inch wide probably won't go over the big MCI brake drums
good luck
Pete, I guarantee that the ones that I have for sale will fit your bus. If you drive over, we can take one of your wheels off and you can put one on to check.
Mine are for MCI bus and they are identical to the ones on my bus.
I am not saying they won't bolt up the problem will be with the inset (negative) that throws the tire off center,Prevost uses a different inset on the front than MCI does.
I see this all the time on Eagles guys buying wheels from trucks and all of a sudden the bus wonders big time because the inset is wrong on the wheels, if all wheels and manufactures were the same Alcoa would not manufacture so many wheels with different insets and outsets
good luck
can anyone tell me which is the proper alcoa wheel,,by part # I need to put on my mc-9..should I go with a 8.25 or a 9in wide wheel? will the 9in wide wheel and bigger tire make it ride /respond better ?after reading the post about not having the proper inset and making the bus wander..I want to make sure ,,I buy the right size wheel..thanks
Clifford, Your statement makes me wonder about my steel wheels. What is the correct measurement for the the wheel center line or offset on my 01 Eagle? I think I have 24.5 truck steel wheels installed on the bus by Tony Fisher when the conversion was done?
