I put a wtb ad in the for sale column
I didn't know if we could post if we are looking to buy not sell.
Moderators feel free to remove this if I'm breaking the rules.
Thanks
Rick
Have you called Richard?
I'm not sure who Richard is...
He is the R in R & M Fiberglass. Nice fella!
Lately, every tom, dick, and harry is named richard.
Dreamscape,
I did call R&M and the price for the bumper is super reasonable $350 but the shipping is almost as much as the part (around $200) and after finding out that a number of folks had AC compressors for sale cheaper than I bought mine for last week I thought I'd check and see if someone reasonably close would have one sitting around gathering dust and save a couple bucks.
I can relate to the shipping cost. On our fiberglass breastplate the shipping was more than the piece. It's because it's over the 4' length and has to come by freight.
Maybe a bus nut that is traveling in the area can help out if they are headed back to where you live. Just a thought!
Or take a road trip! ;) Pretty country, I used to live about 15 miles from his shop just south of Salem OR in Turner.

Rick,
As much as I hate paying shipping costs, I doubt you can get it door to door and insured for under that.
Maybe you can find someone else in your area who has been balking on buying an R & M piece due to the shipping and can share the cost. ???
I know when I bought my windshields, they charged the same freight for up to six in the crate, or just one.
Cliff
Hi Rick,
Sorry to read about your accident. Glad no one was hurt.
If the accident was the fault of the woman whose car you hit, why are you concerned about the cost of the bumper and shipping? Shouldn't her insurance company be paying the bills? I know only a little about your situation so I am probably wrong.
Anyway good luck with your repairs. Sam MC8
