Have any of you replaced the Thermo-Pane Drivers window (w/ticket window) to a single pane sliding window with a screen on an MCI?
I tried the archives but it's a bit more involved now than it used to be to sit and read all the chatter on various topics whereas before you could specify the topic and go directly there. I guess that's called progress.
My drivers side window is sooo fogged I cannot see my sideview mirror. I Emailed Suncoast designers and asked about resealing this one and they quoted $250 plus panes @$35 each if the were etched. Don't think I'm going that way. I asked if the was a temporary fix, as with the wife's hair dryer to handle the one day trip to our winter home and they wouldn't offer a suggestion. An ideas?
Motion windows wants a bunch of measurements I'm not able to give because I haven't as yet removed the window. No doubt MCI was thinking about sunburned drivers when they used the Thermo-pane window there...it's the only one in the bus.
Too, I don't know what lead time Motion Windows needs to build a replacement although I think they should have a template for whet I need by now.
Any ideas or input would be appreciated.

Bob, I would think that they have all of the info somewhere. When i got my 68 5A the PO had changed the drivers window and the window in the door to Motion/Penn single pane with sliders. I know that when i had the other 6 windows changed over they had all of the info that they needed as i recall. I did have one of those window made differently because of the location of the fridge and they had to measure for that but it was no big deal.
Bob,
I just replaced my drivers window in my MC9. Penninsula made the window from their own specs, which I guess they had on file. I just popped out the old one and the new one pushed in and I attached the holding ring , a little caulking and it was done. E-mail penninsula and tell them what you have. I'm almost sure they won't need any measurements from you. They will give you an estimate of delivery time. They were right on the day with mine.
