Title: Wheel seals for a MC7 combo
Post by: txjeff on September 17, 2010, 08:54:44 AM
I have a 73 MC7 combo, Im told that the rear axles were from a scenicruser when Greyhound did the conversion. I have the books on the MC7 but it shows the original axle and tags. Im needing to replace a wheel seal on the tag and was looking for the part before I tore it down. Any clue of who might have any info on these conversions that Greyhound did?

Take your old seal to the auto parts store, they're not hard to match.

I have to do the work in someone elses shop on the weekend, I like to have the parts so I dont leave it down for several days. Where I am located unless its common or a Mack or International part it has to be ordered for the most part. I think Luke at US Coach can match the parts, I am just a typical Busnut and like save $$ where I can. ;D

Join the Scenicruiser21 Yahoo group

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/Scenicruiser21/ (http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/Scenicruiser21/)

go to the files tab (5th one down in the orange box on the left of the screen)
Scroll down & look for :
"Rear Axle" (~11th down)
&
"Wheels & Bearings" (~16th down)

I have added those sections from the parts manual as a pdf file.

I hope this helps.
