I have a Fidelity.

Fidelity was purchase by Marathon (the generator company, not the bus converter) many years ago and the Fidelity brand no longer exists.  Marathon has prints and parts for some of these units.

They are sturdy, well-built heads and will last a long time; 375 hours is just a baby (if that's real -- hour meters are notorious for quitting and/or being replaced).  I have well over 2,000 hours on mine.

Kenny,

If you have trouble researching the generator, call  your local Kubota dealer with the engine serial numbers to get an accurate idea on the engines age.

I would also follow Sean's lead and see what parts are still available before making a decision.

Sean, I did contact Marathon and yes the generator head is very old and there are few parts avaliable. They did say there is likely a direct replacement generator head if necessary.

Cliff, I did contact Kubota with the serial numbers. The engine is approx 15 years years and all parts are available.

Whats amazing to me is this generator looks like brand new with the original paint on both the engine and generator head. It purs like a kitten likely because its a 4 cylinder engine. Has a block heater to boot.

At that price jump on it fast.  My generator is a 1990 with over 3000 hrs and runs like new, you can't kill the engine.  I did have to replace the generator head and that was no problem.  Mine is a 9kw and it didn't cost that much, well not what I thought it would.

Bought the generator. Purrs like a kitten. Got auto transfer switch with the deal.

Sean, I sent you a message concerning a possible manual and wiring configuration.
