If you believe that, I will sell you some ocean-front property in Colorado! ;D ;D
haha!! It would freak me out lookin in my rear view and seeing the nose of a JET on my tail :o :D ;D
The DC-3 wasn't a jet, but I'm sure you'd be just as afraid of those huge prop engines.
Here is a conversion that WAS a jet: a 727 turned into an entertainment coach on a Mercedes Benz bus chassis.
These may be off-topic as they're truck trailers rather than buses, but are still impressive. They are built by a company about a mile from here:

There are lots of others on this page: http://www.vipex.co.uk/gallery/aircraft.htm

That Dc3 is the coolest thing I have ever seen. I fly for a living, and I get to right seat in our Dc3 a few times a year. Here's a pic of our bird. And of me doin work.
Ohh to be 30 years younger ;D

It's never too late if your health and finances permit. My 80-year-old father still flies every week or two, weather permitting. I used to, but I've let my rating lapse...I don't have his passion for it.
A guy stopped at our little airport once with a DC-3. It looked huge on our tiny ramp. Our runway was only 50' wide. He let us look inside. It was empty but used to haul chickens. Oh man, did it stink like a hen house :P :P Oh well you gotta make a living somehow. Those are cool airplanes. I still see them for sale from time to time in TradeAplane.
