Title: Cold fire
Post by: John316 on September 10, 2010, 06:38:31 PM
I just wanted to say that we have purchased two Cold Fire extinguishers. We got the biggest one for the cabin up front (2.5 gal), and a 3 liter for the back bedroom.

I must say I am very impressed with them so far. The charging was as easy as can be. They mounted nicely. And I just hope they stay just decorations. We don't want a fire, but it is a good feeling to be prepared.

I ordered them from Jim Shepherd. He was a pleasure to work with. I called him up, and told him what I was looking at. He talked through some different options, and we settled on the two. We were also in a time crunch to get them, so he shipped them right away (he even went out of his way to do it). I is very knowledgeable about them, which I appreciated.

So make sure that everybody else is prepared for a fire. You don't want to be defenseless.

Thank you Jim, for getting us the extinguishers. You were very helpful.

God bless,

John

Yep, he's a good man. Too bad he spells his name wrong  ::) ::)

I have two of his large extinguishers. One in the passenger compartment, and one in the right side bay. I'll probably buy a third for the left side bay. I have not had to use them (almost). Hope to never need them. I filled one with water and Coldfire. The other I filled with propylene glycol and Coldfire. They both come inside during the winter, though, when the bus is not heated.

Jim

I noticed John found the 3rd way to spell it.   :D

I'm used to that. I'm sure you are too. :)

Craig, yes, I have seen just about every spelling and there are many.  Worst was one time in France where I tried to check into a hotel and they kept telling me that I did not have a reservation.  Turns out that the reservation was made by phone by our company.  The person entering the reservation had stated with a "C"  Chepard.

It is something you get used to.  Same thing when you are "follicly challenged".  You hear every bald joke and they are all fun ;D :D ;)
