Title: snowbirds?
Post by: ruthi on September 10, 2010, 06:22:50 PM
Hey, once again, we are inviting anyone that is passing our way to come by and visit. We will be home all of November and December, and will be working on the new bus. It is getting close to being finished. We are about and hour and half southeast of Atlanta. If you are in your bus, we have room to park too.  ;D

Ruthi    Be careful about inviting busnuts down.  I sounds like a great place to stop over on the way to jacks rally.

You might end up with a yard full of them for christmas dinner.

Or, if you make it to Arcadia, we usually end up having a "Busnut Christmas Dinner". In the past we have had as many as 20 or so people attend.  Jack

Stolass, are you insinuating that we are all a bunch of ol farts?  ;D Thats okay, we will have a good time, come on by. Christmas would be fun there, but my 2 kids and 2 grandkids might not think much of us disappearing at that time, lol.

ok, been there, but, most of my time was either north of Houston, and Galveston area. We went from Houston, to Amarillo Tex. to Colorado Springs, Co. to present place in Georgia. Favorite of these was Co., but dont miss the cold. We are pretty vested in Ga., so this is where we will probably stay. Cody, if you do go south, look us up.

Hey Terry, we used to stop at Port Aransas on our way to the RGV. I like that little town,,, they have the neatest candy shop i can remember seeing. Where about in Aransas Pass do you stay? We now go all the way to the valley and stay in Mercedes.

Ed, it's already too late to beat the snow lol, we've already had snow a couple of times.  Before we can do anything I've still got so much to do, I'm commited to doing a couple of benefits in october, one for the family of a vet that came back from Iraq in pieces, and one for the local womens shelter home so hopefully they can get a new furnace.  I'm already neck deep in building storm windows, each fall I build a few for the old people here that got drafty windows, I average about 20 or so a fall, just something to pass the time.  I got a few irons in the fire most of the time lol.

Ed, we did the store in Murrells Inlet just last week! Anyhow, yall come by, open invitation, just call ahead. Cody, that is so nice of you helping the elderly. I try and help the elderly myself as much as I can, realizing I am fast approaching that category myself, lol.

I'm old, at least I feel old, every morning I sit on the edge of the bed and count body parts, I determine my day by how many body parts are working that day.

You are funny cody ;D. My body feels old a lot, but in my warped mind, I am still young. After all, how many grannies do you know that like to play xbox, lol. Yes, I do.  :o

I think it's great for Cody to do things for younger generations! "I'm already neck deep in building storm windows, each fall I build a few for the old people here that got drafty windows, I average about 20 or so a fall, just something to pass the time." ;)
;D  BK  ;D

Cody you know you have a place here anytime! (and some people actually know where we are! Ask Niles after driving past us twice and pulling in the business next door to us to turn around the guy walked out and asked him "you look'n for the bus barn?" When he said yes the guy pointed and said right there on the other side of those trees! ;) )

Bryce, I can find you or at least I can find somebody to point me in the right direction, I like my first time thru union city, the insurance guy told me I couldn't go thru that part of town that the bus wouldn't fit, thats the direction I had just came thru lol.

He's telling you the truth!
And then the guy didn't have a clue where we were located (as we were way out in the county). But the odd jobs boy did and led Cody right to us!

Cody the town we're in now is even easier to get around in and it has a bypass that does a complete circle and we are just a 1/4 mile off the by pass! (I can see it now, busnuts circling the town several times wondering "now where on this bypass is BK?")
;D  BK  ;D

Kingsville? Thats a ways north from the valley isn't it? We are actually starting to get serious about getting ready. The cooler weather has hit. I still don't know if we are taking the bus down or driving the car.
