Title: Bus friendly Mt. St. Helens?
Post by: John316 on September 06, 2010, 03:58:13 PM
How about it, folks? Anybody taken their buses up to Helens? How far can we get with the bus? What about hikes, are there any hikes that we could access?

If not, what are some other suggestions? We like to hike (not sissy hikes, meaning, not on paved trails, etc), and we also like mountains. However, the Columbia River gorge is nice too.

Comments?

Thanks.

God bless,

John

Multnoamah (Speling) Falls ranks right up there with the Grand Canyon for me.  It is 12 or 14 miles east of Portland.

Jack,

Is that place accessible with the bus? Our is 45 long, and 13 tall. Would we fit? Do you know if there are any hikes around there?

Thanks for your help.

God bless,

John

John  Take exit 49 off of I-5 head East it is about 30 miles. The road is very bus friendly and there is bus parking at all of viewpoints. I think you will find it a beautiful drive, IF it is not fogged in. Multnomah falls is well worth the trip,
but not bus friendly, the last time I went through there with the bus cars were parked in the few bus parking spots they have. Lots of good hiking in the area, but would recommend taking the toad.    Good Busin' Wilbur
