I went to move the Bus today and I found that some one has preyed the mirrors out of the heads on both sides of my bus.  They broke the bottom convex mirror off on one side but not the other.  But i am needing to replace them so I can get it inspected, I called MCI since the casting had MCI 5/7  on it but they have not been able to come up with any thing anybody have any ideas where I can get the parts that the glass mounts on for them?  

I think I can get mirrors cut if I can get the mounts for it.

Never seen a power mirror on a 5. Or one with a convex mirror either. Only a one piece flat mirror. Guess i am going to have to check out the mirrors on other 5's a little closer. ;D

I have been looking and I think that the MIC 5/7 is refering to the bus that the mirror would fit.  I have talked to MIC and they did not make a power heated mirror for that bus.  Then I found the Ramco mirrors on E-Bay and I am thinking they might be a Ramco mirrors with the mount for a MCI 5/7.

I still have not found a place to buy the part that the mirror mounts on so the motor can move it.  I guess I might mount a flat glass it it to have a mirror and see what can be done later.

You can use cardboard.  My mirror assembly has a plastic laminated cardboard between the mirror motor assembly and the mirror glass.  My guess is the cardboard is easy to attach to the motor and the curve of the glass. 

I hope you have more luck with the mirror glass then I have.  I broke my driver's side mirror glass and have not found a simple convex piece of mirror glass to replace it.  Am going to cut a flat piece of glass into 3 pieces.
