Title: Platinum Cat heaters
Post by: PP on September 02, 2010, 07:08:14 PM
Has anyone dealt with Arnie at PlatCat lately? I'm looking to buy another unit and have 2 serviced and I'm just wondering if he is still highly recommended. Thanks, and if this type of question is prohibited, just delete the post, Will

I tried quite hard to buy two units last year around this time, but failed - I think he was too busy and had back orders, and my order never got built.

Andy and Brian, thank you for your responses. I contacted him this spring and he was backlogged so I thought I would try again now. So far he hasn't returned my messages, but I'll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, does anyone know of another source? Thanks, Will

I never found another manufacturer of an equivalent product - that is, externally vented propane fueled platinum catalytic heaters designed for RV use.  I also never found a distributor, although he does make them for some use, maybe an OEM puts them in something they are building.
