Title: Question - Bumper stickers
Post by: HighTechRedneck on August 30, 2010, 12:58:22 PM
This thread on bus related bumper stickers has been getting some pretty good ones mentioned:  http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=17246 (http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=17246)

I didn't want to hijack that thread with this question, so I'm starting a new one.

If we got some bumper stickers printed with slogans that you all come up with here and put them in the online store, would folks here buy them at $3.99 for a quality vinyl bumper sticker?

Personally, no. I would not spend money for a bumper sticker. But then again, I'm cheap, and I don't have any bumper stickers on any of my vehicles.

Not that I don't think it may be a good idea, and I admire you for doing the marketing research first.

Just being honest.

Most likely no. They look tacky.

Probably not, I have a program on the puter that makes them and I never came up with anything smart enough or original enough to put on one, the only time I ever had a smart thought I was sitting in the bathroom and by the time I was done I had forgotten what it was.

Being paranoid I don't put bumper  sticker on my vehicles. Makes it easier for someone to identify and keep track of you. I do sometimes buy bumper stickers if they are funny but they are all in a box somewhere.

I pick up a sticker or two for giggles though I nearly never put any on my vehicles because I think they tend to look tacky, that's just me. Most end up on my welding helmet.
The only sticker I have on any on my vehicles is Schutzhund stickers on the Navigator that we take the dogs in and they are easily removed. I get tons of questions on Schutzhund and they also tend to keep people away from the truck and the dogs so nobody gets bitten.

That's not to say that I wouldn't maybe buy one is I thought it were really cool. I have been known to tape one in a window now and then for giggles.

I love the old vintage water decals that we all used to get at service stations and gift shops as kids on vacations that show a state or popular destination. Other old farts will know what I mean. I won't put them on a car though. Maybe I'd make a removable panel on my coach that can be put out of the way where I could put a few when I get full timing or something.

Cable, your missing the whole idea, we're bus trash, not trailer trash, trailer trash have trailer parks, we've got to use truck stops, some day if I live right I'd like to maybe become trailer trash so I can attract tornados.

I considered having some made to sell years back- setup cost was too much. They were:
My other car is bigger than yours
and
My other car is a house.

Cody,   I'm not that fond of tornados but I couldn't find a "Bus Trash" plate.
We have the "Trailer Trash" plate cause we've had neighbors pack up and move when we pulled in to our site.  I consider it fair warning. It has opened up conversations with some of the nicest people we've ever met...Cable

What if there was a series like this with various bus brands represented?

I like reading bumper stickers--on other peoples vehicles!  ;D
We never buy them or put them on our rigs and I admit this only for your marketing research  ;D

I agree they are tacky and most will tick someone off, don't need that.

If I'm given one I like I stick it onto my old JD or Ford tractors but I don't pay money for any!!
