Guys, my 18yr old son Ryan chose to go to college and be a diesel mechanic. It's a two year program and he'll have a job when he graduates. His instructor told them to find an old engine and bring it in to do a rebuild. So if any of you have and old take out, from an upgrade you did or are about to do and would be willing to donate it he could use an engine to rebuild.
Thanks Guys

send me a private email, I may be able to help and the engine is in St. Clairsville, OH
Jack;
Do you still have your 8V71 from your MCI in the closet.
This would be a good place to send it. May be some one would like a rebuilt one when he is through.
Don
Where would it be going to?
Jack
Not a good time to join right now but the military has 1000's of those engines and you even get paid while learning your skills LOL, all jokes aside I have been around a few of the young men and women trained on the 2 strokes by the military they are pretty damn sharp young folks.
I have a complete 8v71 in AZ you are welcome to it
good luck
W Va,
Great your son has chosen a course of study which will afford him a job upon completion.
Question, however would it not be better to teardown & rebuild a more modern engine which he will be most likely to encounter in the commercial trade ?
I recognize DD 2 Stroker mech's are getting scarcer everyday, but what ever provides the teaching techniques.
Hey how's about holding a lottery of our members for the completed rebuild, or do you have that covered.....
Take care, Enjoy the weekend.
Gary
I still have one sitting in my shop that you are welcome to, however my shop is near Arcadia, Florida. Jack
