My no charge dash light has always flickered at idle(sometimes not) Now the light stays on till I bring the rev's up. Could this be a regulator adjusting problem or a grounding one?Would appreciate any feed back.
I'll take a stab at this...... of course, it helps to know what your bus is.
On my 4106, I can turn one of the two adjustments on the voltage regulator and prevent the Gen light from coming on at an idle. I noticed it'll happen more often when the batteries are fully charged and the inverter is off.

If you are talking about the regulator adjustment in the engine compartment there is a good write up on how to do that in the manual. Just be careful and not ground any of the leads. If you don't have a manual I can send you one via email in pdf format. Just PM me your email addy.

I would caution everyone, don't go trying to adjust the regulator to make the light go out. Follow the procedures carefully including operating temperature and load using a good quality voltmeter. Blindly turning a screw until the light goes out could cost you seriously. There may in fact, be nothing wrong except having a huge alternator and a small load.
Len is right on! That's why you need to do it by the book. There is a procedure that must be followed in order to not cause any damage.
Eddie, thanks for the link you sent concerning the same problem, it doesn't seem there's a problem just the matter of not having a load on such a huge generator.
