I was sitting in the drive way working in the electrical compartment of my bus when a car pulls up and this gentleman is explaining to me that the township is going to pave my road tomorrow (great news)!
After informing me of the paving he starts a conversation about buses and mentioned he had a bus (not very many of those here in Mayberry) so I perked up and joined the conversation (I speak fluent bus), he's telling me all about his bus and its a MCI. He's doing that proud of my bus stuff explaining all of what they did and how the conversion went. I'm still floored because I only know of 2 other buses in my area and the last thing I expected was a bus nut in my area that I didn't know of!
I give him a tour of my unfinished bus and we are talking about how much information there is these days on the internet, he mentions Hobe in Fla, and then he really floors me and said his bus was converted by Walker Bus..................I immediately perk up and really start to listen more intently, he mentions that his bus is on the main page of the Walker site ( I automatically know which one he's talking about its gorgeous), new stainless bottom, white paint above the stainless and the painted graphics down the side one of the best looking MCI's around and really done well!
You never know exactly what is going to roll up to the door! He was a very pleasant and knowledgeable busnut, and I really enjoyed the visit!
Like a rookie busnut, I didn't manage to invite myself to see his bus.............oh well......next time!
