Left the house Friday afternoon heading out to our family reunion. Except for a small snafu with our headlights which was easily fixed in a rest area, the bus ran great. Leaving Utica NY today to head up into the Adirondacks for a few days, then, we will start heading towards NJ and the Northeast gtg. On a side note, does anyone have an idea on troubleshooting the dash lights on an MCI 9 ? Maybe there is a switch somewhere I'm missing ? Mine don't work at all...
There should be a couple rheostat switches to adjust light level of dash lights and panel lights in the switch panel on your left. Make sure they are set for full brightness. When I rewired our bus, I changed all lighting over to 12 volt and did away with the rheostats, and i don't remember for sure, but I think the dash lights were wired to come onwith the3 marker light switch??? John, it's been a long hard haul to get from RV.Net to this post, has it been rewarding? I know building a bus is like pushing a rope and it certainly has it's ups and downs but I've found the overall sence of safety to be signifigant, I still like the rumble of a big detroit as we idle into a campground, somehow when the people stop doing what they are doing and turn to watch, it's a great moment. lol
