Title: search NOT
Post by: JohnEd on August 03, 2010, 11:39:49 AM
I tried to search " 84dime " and I got referred to 70 pages.  The first listed a 2006 post by Dallas that had nothing to do with 84dime.  Especially, since 84 joined in 2009.  I have problems with search....usually.  I am not complaining, understand, just passing info that might frustrate you visions of perfection. ??? ::) ;D ;D ;D

The search in the upper right is a no go for me almost always.  If that isn't due to my blundering...a distinct possibility...can we just shut that option of or divert it into the one that works.  I know, I know, I have no appreciation of the intricacies of software and architecture.  Just a thought and a question.

Thanks for all that you do and I am certain that not even 1 % of that is clearly visible to us at our confusers.

John

I'd just search for $8.40 since that equals 84 dimes.
;D  BK  ;D

Actually, I'd just click on his name and then click on the "show recent posts" link.

Bk,

That is a superb idea except that clicking on his name does nothing.  I searched so I could do exactly that....click on hs name.  I finally found him in the members list and then I could clik on hos name and see that he has posted 58 times in a year. I did get to read his posts and learned that he lives about 50 miles north of me and has a 4104.

But did it have to be all that long a journey?

"Just click on his name" eeeerrrrrrrrrr >:( >:( >:(  I love it when I get sage advice.  Just kidding with this, Slim  ::) :P :o ;D ;D ;D ;D

John...ever amused

It would have been easier to go to the calendar and click on his name there.  Lots less time involved and fast results.

I had did a search yesterday and noticed something didn't seem right even after several attempts. I thought it was something I did, but apparently not.
