Good luck on your trip.

Wyoming diesel is almost 15 cents less per gallon than Utah.  Flying J at Cheyenne is $2.729 and other Flying Js in Wyoming (Except Evanston) are at $2.899.  Utah Flying Js are $3.039.  Flying J used to be one of the lowest pretty consistently, but not always these days.

Actually according to www.gasbuddy.com (http://www.gasbuddy.com) the lowest in the state of WY are; $2.69 each
Loaf 'N Jug; 4373 E Lincolnway & E Pershing Ave, Cheyenne
&
King Soopers; 3702 Dell Range Blvd near Parkview Dr, Cheyenne

FWIW
;D  BK  ;D

Utah prices range from $2.75 to $3.03

Been checking the gas buddy deal for a few weeks and kind of quit as the prices seem to be going up, but looks like a guy better get his tanks full in WY ,there prices are cheaper than anywhere else i see on our trip.

BK,yes our bus has been seen in a few parts of the country, and thanks for the welcome

Where are you headed to in MT. and WA. and when do you think that you might be there?  We might be leaving WA. in about 11-12 days and heading to Yuma.....by way of the Chicago area. ;D

For me at least it is worth the 3 cents a gallon to just fill up at a truck stop.  I just used the Flying J website as a quick cost comparision between Utah and Wyoming.  Flying J is not necessarily the least expensive.

Saddleup- When you get to SLC, I highly recommend you take a 24 mile out of the way trip to go around SLC and NOT having to pull the big hill out of SLC.  What you do is when you get to the west side of SLC on I-80, you take I-215 north to I-15 north.  Then watch for the signs near South Ogden for I-84 east.  I-84 hooks up back up with I-80 and there are no hills to climb.  Best 24 miles out of the way you can take-used to do it everytime in the big rig.  Also watch for the Devils Slide (if during the day) on the right side after getting into the canyon on I-84.  Good Luck, TomC

Tom that is a great little detour and I intend to use it.

I too am heading across 80 at the end of the month but in the westbound lanes.

Anyone going to the Burning Man Festival end of the month that is were we are headed.

I am hauling a load of 8 or 10 Bulgarian Fire Performers from KC out there :o

Hope they are in the habit of using underarm deodorant ;D

Should be a very interesting trip.

Tom C, thanks been thinking about doing just that, planing on stoping at the TA and getting a little sleep then going on through SL, about 3or4 am,depends on what the road cont. is doing, have i mentioned i hate going thru SL.

Paul, thanks, i might actually be going to Texas in sept. down south of you at Carrizo Springs.

Van, got most of the rub'in and scrub'in done yesterday, just have the wheels to do this AM before it gets to hot, and then check every thing again,a little worried about this bus running at all without its little green buddy hooked to the back, could be just like a cow that wont travel without her calf.

TomC speaks with great wisdom!! I discovered that route after a couple of hard climbs out of SLC. Not only is much hilly but it winds along a really pretty river for the western part.

I use the other route going in though, it is a great downhill ride.
