how many rivets does it take to skin the sides of a mci 9 from the top of the bay to the roof that has been raised 6 inches? jim

Well, I raised mine 8", and put in over 2000. My framing was custome at 4' centers as opposed to 5', and I spaced my rivets closer together than original. See details at bus.gumpydog.com

I'll bite. How many rivets does it take to skin the sides of an MC9 from the top of the bay to the top of the roof raise?

No, seriously, I used about 1500 with no roof raise.
get a good air rivet gun, you'll need it.
I also did double duty with Sikaflex, and had good results. That skin won't ever come off.

also, get your rivets from rich.

Thanks for the kind words Devin......Great advice on the SikaFlex as well. The Sika works great as a sealant and keeps two dissimilar metals apart also. Two very important factors..........................
