Title: Power Steering Fluid
Post by: berrybus on August 20, 2006, 07:09:59 AM
My MCI 9 bus manual states that I should use motor oil to put into power steering unit....I feel a little uncomfortable with that, my thoughts are that it should be hydraulic fluid, oil or power steering fluid....

What is the experience of the group regarding this matter???? ???

30Wt detergent is fine.   I used to rebuild PS pumps for a living.  Factory instructor gave me the info, just don't mix with other "approved" fluids,
