I saw this heading to my brothers house this evening where I live outside Tulsa. It looks like a Ford Taurus and an old F100 maybe :D :D?

Looks like somebody missed their old Ranchero or El Camino. lol
And built a crew cab version of one to boot.
My son and daughter in law lived south of Tulsa for a year. We saw some strange stuff there!!!
Laugh if you want but that thing will haul a$$ :o :D
You guys are all wrong, what you see there is an early prototype of the Ford Explorer Sport-trac. ;D
Fred would be a good name for it.

The same thing was (is?) true in Sweden, and there was a fashion for a while of turning front-engined Porsches (924/928/944 etc) into pickups to reduce the tax burden. It's apparently a very easy conversion that doesn't require much more than the tailgate taking off.

Why, ain't those Porsches cutier than a bug's ear
:o I cant believe someone would do that to a 928S! I used to own one. That car was a blast. They were designed to be a 50/50 weight distribution front to rear and handled amazingly. Mine was pushing a little over 400hp with mod's. When I decided to sell it I was very picky about who I sold to and even turned away a couple of kids that wanted it. I know what happens to it after you sell it should not matter but it did to me. Anyway I sold it to a guy I knew that owned a local tire shop that was in his late 40's figuring he would take really good care of it. Boy was I wrong. He had it for about 3 weeks and pulled out in front of someone. The front end was almost knocked completely off :(
So much for trying to make sure your baby goes to good hands, lol!

When the difference in registration tax is hundreds of dollars a year, you can believe it!
Isn't it amazing all of the little ways the government tries to get our money, and all the ways he find to keep it?

It looks like someone took their time and paid attention to details. Might even be a kit.
This thing would make a good toad! Make a shell to fit the bed and you have a station wagon, pull the shell to carry big stuff.
